Honigman Further Expands its Private Equity Practice in Chicago with Katten Hire
Honigman announced today that Harris R. Eisenberg has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate department and Private Equity practice group in the firm’s Chicago office. His arrival follows on the heels of private equity partner Norbert Knapke, who joined the firm’s Chicago office last month from Kirkland & Ellis.
Eisenberg’s practice focuses on representing middle market private equity funds, family offices and other investors in acquisitions and dispositions, recapitalizations, joint ventures and other complex transactions. He joins Honigman from Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where he concentrated on private equity and mergers and acquisitions.
“Harris is well respected in the industry, and his wealth of experience and relationships makes him a natural fit for Honigman,” said David Foltyn, Chairman and CEO. “The addition of Harris to our private equity platform continues the momentum we have built in Chicago, and we know Harris and his clients will benefit from Honigman’s deep experience representing middle market private equity funds and their portfolio companies.”
Eisenberg earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law. He graduated with distinction from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts.
Since opening its Chicago office in 2015, the firm has expanded its presence in the city and attracted top lateral talent from large law firms. After a period of steady growth, Honigman nearly doubled the available space for lawyers by relocating its Chicago office to 155 North Wacker Drive in January 2018.
