Our training programs are facilitated both by Honigman partners and by external, national subject-matter experts. We provide Lateral Integration Partners to help accelerate lateral hires' integration into the Firm and provide support.

Our Offer
Each experienced attorney's unique background and experience are considered individually to arrive at a mutually satisfactory compensation package. We provide lateral attorneys with the same competitive benefits that we provide all other similarly situated attorneys, including the opportunity to participate in the home loan program.
Judicial Clerks
We are committed to recruiting and hiring judicial clerks because we recognize the unique and valuable experiences that judicial clerkships offer. These experiences enhance the distinguished law school records typical of judicial clerks and are strong indicators of success at our Firm. Many of our attorneys are former judicial clerks, including for the United States Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States District Courts.

"I am so proud of my decision to lateral to Honigman. Thanks to my mentors and colleagues, I have developed a career that I love, helping our clients navigate complicated legal issues. I am grateful for everything that Honigman has afforded me and my family, which I pay forward by helping younger attorneys refine their respective practices."
Gabriel BedoyaMember, Board of Directors"As a federal law clerk, I gained invaluable insight into the procedures governing each stage of litigation and how they applied to a wide array of legal issues across dozens of different areas of law. That insight has enabled me to think creatively and strategically throughout the pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and judgment in complex commercial cases at Honigman."
Nicholas BurandtAssociate"Clerking trained me to examine every angle of a legal problem and sharpened my written and oral advocacy skills. At Honigman, I was trusted to put those skills into practice as soon as I joined the firm as a young associate."
Shannon DugganPartner“Honigman has unwavering interest in helping each of its attorneys grow into superior lawyers in each of their individual practice areas. From the time I was a summer associate until today, Honigman has always been committed to making me the best attorney possible and this has helped me grow my career.”
Chauncey Mayfield IILeader, Commercial Transactions Practice Group
Member, Board of Directors"I am grateful to have had the opportunity to complete a judicial clerkship. Clerking allowed me to see a variety of complex legal issues – ones that I had never considered. Because of that, I feel more confident to tackle new issues in my practice. My clerkship also gave me a look behind the scenes. I am more aware of effective arguments and conduct. I am positive that my clerkship has made me a better attorney."
