Two partners join Honigman’s Chicago office

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP is pleased to announce that Vikram A. Mathrani and Ron N. Sklar join the firm as partners in its Chicago office. Sklar and Mathrani are members of Honigman’s growing Intellectual Property Department with more than 90 legal professionals. Honigman, a full-service business law firm, has nearly 300 attorneys in the Midwest and a growing national and international client base served by prominent practices in intellectual property, private equity, corporate and securities, real estate, and litigation, among others.

Mathrani and Sklar focus their practices on patent litigation, particularly in the life science and information technology industries.

Mathrani, who joins Honigman from the Chicago office of Ropes & Gray LLP, is admitted to practice in Illinois, New York and before the USPTO. He earned a J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.S. in chemical engineering from Cornell University.

Sklar, who joins Honigman from the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, is admitted to practice in Illinois. He earned a J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.S. in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan.
