Honigman Earns Mansfield Certification for 2023-2024

Honigman is proud to announce that the firm has achieved Mansfield Certification for 2023-2024. Honigman is among more than 360 leading law firms that participated in this year’s Mansfield Certification process.

Mansfield Certification, awarded by Diversity Lab, is a science-backed and data-driven solution that helps boost inclusivity, access, and diversity in leadership. The certification process measures the structural changes and steps participating law firms have taken over the past year to ensure paths to leadership – including lateral hiring, client pitch teams, promotions, appointments, and more – are open and transparent to all qualified lawyers.

To achieve Mansfield Certification, firms must implement a behavioral science and data-driven approach to help increase diversity in leadership. Certified firms are required to consider at least 30% historically underrepresented lawyers, including women lawyers, underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers and lawyers with disabilities when appointing to leadership roles and promoting to equity partnership. In addition, certified firms are required to enhance transparency related to leadership roles, advancement processes and compensation policies.
