Honigman welcomes Khalilah V. Spencer to its Detroit office
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) announced today that Khalilah V. Spencer has joined the firm’s Detroit office as an attorney in the Litigation Department. Spencer joins Honigman from the Detroit office of Dickinson Wright, where she had been an associate since 2002.
“We are pleased to welcome Khalilah as a member of our Litigation Department,” said David Foltyn, CEO of Honigman. “With her experience representing clients in commercial litigation matters, Khalilah will be a great asset to our litigation practice.”
Spencer received her Juris Doctor in 2001 from the University of Michigan Law School and her B.A. in Political Science in 1999 also from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the Michigan State Bar and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
Outside of Honigman, Spencer has held leadership positions in several organizations benefiting the metropolitan Detroit community. She currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee of NAACP’s Detroit Branch, and has been a member of the Executive Committee of Gilda’s Club of Metro Detroit since 2006.
Representing both plaintiffs and defendants, the attorneys in Honigman’s Litigation Department possess extensive litigation experience covering the gamut from nationwide class action lawsuits, trials and appeals, to administrative hearings and commercial arbitrations.
