Honigman’s J. Patrick Lennon appointed to Borgess Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) is pleased to announce that J. Patrick Lennon, a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate Department, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Borgess Medical Center Foundation, a philanthropic organization that ensures that state-of-the-art medical care is accessible to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Lennon is located in Honigman’s Kalamazoo office.
He was elected to the Board to fill a vacant position with a term expiring on June 30, 2011.
Lennon focuses his practice on real estate transactions, financing, leasing, affordable housing, government incentives, construction, land use, development and brokerage. He represents the interests of large corporations, real estate developers, builders and investors throughout Michigan and Florida.
His professional involvement includes serving as counsel for the Greater Kalamazoo Association of Realtors and general counsel for Southwestern Michigan Regional Information Center (SWMRIC). These organizations consist of more than 6,000 real estate agents throughout the State of Michigan. Lennon is a member of the Comm-PAC Steering Committee, a political action committee that promotes pro-business initiatives. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Michigan Bar Association’s Real Property Section, the Florida Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association’s Estates, Trusts and Real Property Section.
He was recognized in Best Lawyers in America in 2010 and 2011 and in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business as an “Up and Coming” attorney in 2006 and 2007.
Lennon earned a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and a B.A., with honors, in Business from Michigan State University.

The Borgess Medical Center Foundation is a philanthropic organization that supports health care and related services at Borgess Medical Center, a 422-bed teaching hospital linked with the Michigan State University Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.
