Honigman Partner Carol A. Friend Named to Detroit RiverFront Conservancy Board of Directors
Honigman LLP is pleased to announce that partner Carol A. Friend has joined the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy (DRFC) Board of Directors. The mission of the DRFC is to transform Detroit’s international riverfront into a beautiful, exciting, safe, accessible world-class gathering place for all.
Friend is a member of Honigman’s Business Immigration practice group in the firm’s Detroit office, just a few blocks away from the DRFC’s river walk. She concentrates her practice in the area of employment-based immigration and represents national and international companies in complex business immigration matters.
Throughout her career, Friend has served on a number of community-oriented boards. In addition to her position on the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, she currently serves on boards for the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts and InForum. She is also the Global Chair for the international legal organization Interlaw’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Community group.
Friend earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She earned her B.G.S. from Oakland University.
Honigman’s founding partners made public service a hallmark of the firm, and several attorneys and staff support the DRFC. In all, Honigman supports more than 100 nonprofit and community organizations annually throughout the Midwest.
