Overview
Amy Folbe concentrates her practice in the areas of matrimonial and family law and is the leader of the firm's Matrimonial and Family Law practice. She represents a broad range of clients in divorce, custody, and family law trials and proceedings involving a wide variety of issues. Amy has particular experience working with physicians and other professionals in complex prenuptial, postnuptial, separation, and divorce agreements. She is a compassionate advocate in all family law litigation matters who provides a unique level of one-on-one attention to all of her clients.
- Advises spouses on divorce issues, including alimony and spousal support
- Advises persons in connection with partnership agreements and cohabitation agreements
- Represents individuals in proceedings involving child support, child custody, guardianship, paternity, grandparents’ rights, and parenting time issues
- Analyzes complex asset and business valuations
- Negotiates lump sum and creative property settlements
- Represents clients in connection with personal protection order proceedings
- Represents family law clients with international issues
- Certified Mediator who mediates family law cases involving divorce, child support, child custody, parenting time issues and other family law matters
- Serves as a member of the firm’s Committee on Women Attorney Initiatives and mentor for newly hired attorneys
- Ombudsman representative for the firm’s Oakland County Office
