Jarred Pickering, Ph.D.

Dr. Jarred Pickering is an intellectual property attorney in Honigman’s Life Sciences industry group. Jarred specializes in preparing and prosecuting applications across a range of technology areas, including pharmaceutical drug products and medical devices. Jarred also has experience preparing and prosecuting applications directed to solid-state batteries and automotive technologies. His experience includes conducting IP due diligence, analyzing freedom-to-operate issues, and counseling clients on patentability and invalidity issues. He also assists in drafting and prosecuting applications in the life sciences industry. 

Jarred obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, where his research explored type I polyketide natural product GEX1A as a potential treatment for Niemann-Pick type C disease.
