Overview
Tessa Lang is the annuity coordinator in the Intellectual Property department. She began her career with Honigman in 2012 serving as a docket clerk and then intellectual property paralegal. Tessa manages the processes that ensure all of the firm’s patent assets are protected by completing the necessary procedures and payments within critical deadlines.
- Effectively provide direction to the firm’s annuity vendor to track and manage the appropriate fees as well as maintain an essential secondary database
- Oversee the processing of new patent portfolios, utilizing legal knowledge and understanding to assess patent matters and properly integrate into the database
- Provide support on other patent matters as needed, including gathering of preliminary technical information for intellectual property assessment
- Create customized cost projections for clients to plan budgets with ease
- Work directly with attorneys, clients, and foreign associates to maintain U.S. and foreign patent assets
- Extensive experience utilizing patent software, including PattsyWave, Anaqua, USPTO website, Patentscope, many foreign patent office databases
- Research and compile information pertaining to national and international intellectual property rights, particularly relating to the maintenance requirements for patent term
