Honigman welcomes Julie E. Kretzschmer to its Oakland County office
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) announced today that Julie E. Kretzschmer has joined the firm’s Oakland County office as an attorney in the Corporate Department and Intellectual Property Practice Group. Kretzschmer joins Honigman from Cooper & Riesterer, a business law firm based in Brighton, Mich. “We are pleased to welcome Julie as a part of our Intellectual Property Group and our Oakland County office,” said David Foltyn, CEO of Honigman. “With her combined 16 years of corporate and legal experience and her background in trademarks and intellectual property enforcement, Julie will be a great asset for growing our IP practice.” Focusing on intellectual property, Kretzschmer brings to Honigman valuable experience in advising and counseling clients regarding advertising and e-commerce compliance issues, intellectual property enforcement, and trademarks. Prior to practicing law, Kretzschmer worked for Dominos Pizza, LLC, based in Ann Arbor, Mich., as an intellectual property manager where she managed trademark, patent, copyright and domain portfolios in more than 130 countries. Kretzschmer received her Juris Doctor in 2005 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1988 from Michigan State University. Honigman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group encompasses patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret law, including search, registration, enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, litigation and a wide variety of transactional work involving intellectual property rights.
