Honigman welcomes six new attorneys from its summer associate programs
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) is pleased to announce the addition of six new Attorneys, all of whom are former Summer Associates of the firm. Four of the new associates sat for the State Bar of Michigan exam in July and two have already been admitted.
DON D’AMATO joins Honigman’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in its Corporate and Securities Department, splitting his time between the firm’s Lansing and Ann Arbor offices. D’Amato received a J.D., cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington, and a B.S. in Biology in 1993 from Tulane University. Before law school, D’Amato worked for more than 10 years as an engineering consultant in the construction and environmental industries. He is also a registered Patent Agent. D’Amato sat for the State Bar of Michigan exam in July.
KATHRYN A. KATZ joins Honigman’s Trusts and Estates Department in Detroit. Katz received a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin. She formerly worked at Jones Day in Chicago as a Project Assistant and at the Chicago Legal Clinic as an Intern. Katz sat for the State Bar of Michigan exam in July.
ROGER P. MEYERS joins the firm’s Litigation Department in Detroit. He received a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.S. in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Suffolk University in Boston. Most recently, Meyers served as Judicial Clerk for Judge Raymond Kethledge at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
MATTHEW J. MOUSSIAUX joins Honigman’s Corporate and Securities Department in Detroit. He received a J.D., summa cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. from Michigan State University in Building Construction Management. Moussiaux most recently served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Nancy G. Edmunds at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
CLARA L. SEYMOUR joins the firm’s Corporate and Securities Department in Detroit. Seymour received a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. While in law school, Seymour was a teaching assistant and Co-director of the Written and Oral Advocacy Program. She received a B.A., with high distinction, from the University of Michigan in Philosophy and Psychology. Seymour sat for the State Bar of Michigan exam in July.
MELANIE VAN ANTWERP joins Honigman’s Corporate and Securities Department in the firm’s Kalamazoo office. Van Antwerp received a J.D., summa cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School and a B.A., with high distinction, from the University of Michigan in Spanish and Political Science. She also served as a Judicial Intern for Judge Nancy G. Edmunds at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Van Antwerp sat for the State Bar of Michigan exam in July.
