Overview
Jeremy Scherlinck is a corporate attorney focusing his practice on advising private equity firms, venture capital funds, founders, family offices and large corporations in connection with their acquisitions, divestitures, equity raises, restructurings and other complex business transactions.
Jeremy has advised on and closed over 90 acquisition/sale transactions in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, trucking, distribution, construction, healthcare and software development, with transaction sizes ranging from a few hundred thousand dollars to over $600 million. In addition, Jeremy advises portfolio companies of private equity funds and other businesses with respect to day-to-day general corporate matters, as well as commercial and employment-related disputes.
Prior to his legal career, Jeremy played minor-league hockey for the Iowa Stars (AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars), Wheeling Nailers (ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins), Idaho Steelheads (ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars) and Port Huron Flags (UHL).
