Overview
Sheridan DuPont's practice focuses on providing advice to businesses and investors on the U.S. federal income tax impacts of complex transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, internal restructuring, bankruptcy reorganizations, partnership planning and liability management. She advises clients in a range of industries including energy/power, manufacturing, real estate, agriculture, health care and consumer products. She has assisted numerous tax-exempt organizations with delicate matters, including applying for tax-exempt status, maintaining the benefits of the 501 regime and navigating private foundation requirements. Sheridan also advises private equity clients on domestic and international tax matters, including fund structuring.
